I bought this to hook my Dell U3011 to an AMD Radeon HD 6970 so I could hide the PC in the basement. The graphics card only has Mini-DisplayPort outputs so I had to use a mini-to-full-size passive adapter. This worked fine at resolutions up to 1920x1080 (may have been 1920x1200--I don't remember for sure) but would not transfer a 2560x1600 signal which is my monitor's native resolution.This cable may work at 2560x1600 without the adapter that I had to use which is why I only took off one star.This cable does NOT pass 4K video. I couldn't get it to pass 4K video even at a lower refresh rate, let alone the 60Hz refresh rate I was attempting to achieve. Maybe it works at 1080p; I don't know as I did not test that resolution and don't need it. I can only say that this cable does not work on 4K video at 60Hz.This cable literally got stuck in my monitor and will not come out now.great
