I specifically bought this because it DOES NOT have an internal spline. I know that CAT6 really "should" have a stiff plastic internal spline, but the spline is extremely annoying. It makes termination so much more difficult, it adds lots of bulk to the cable, more weight, and also makes routing difficult due to less flexibility. I bought this stuff for special cases for when I am not going really long distances and need the better flexibility and speed of terminating. No problems at all with kinking, and it seems like quality cable. I just wish it were available in some colors other than just blue :)I have had no connection or speed problems at all. I would cast this as somewhere between CAT5E and CAT6 from a specs and usage case. If you have lots in a bundle, have to go maximum distances, or operate at maximum speed, you might be better off with splined CAT6. Otherwise, this stuff is great.
